Anne & Nathan - Wedding | Minneapolis, MN

Anne and Nathan had a Valentine's Day wedding!  The ceremony and reception was held at the Historic Wesley Center.  After the reception we made our way to the Guthrie Theater for a few more pictures inside out of the cold.  Here's a few images from their wedding day!

Kelley & Andrew - Destination Wedding | Puerto Vallerta, Mexico

When Kelley and Andrew asked if we could possibly come to Mexico (in February) and photograph their wedding, we didn't have to think twice.  Their wedding was at the Riu Palace Pacifico on the Riviera Nayarit in Puerto Vallarta.  There was the threat of rain on their wedding day, but it held off until after their outdoor wedding ceremony on the beach.  The rest of the time, the weather was perfect and we enjoyed our time with Kelley and Andrew's family and friends.  Here's some images of their wedding adventure!

Emily & Kurt - Wedding | New Prague, MN

Our first wedding of 2015!  Emily and Kurt's wedding was quite a way to kick off the year!  Big, crazy wedding party, great families, and a lot of fun.  The wedding ceremony was in Veseli, MN, and their reception was held at the Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan, MN.  It was warm enough January day to get a bunch of outdoor pictures done and we took advantage of the great locations.  Click "see more" to see more images!

2014 - Some of our favorites.

What a year it's been!  We had the opportunity to travel to some incredible locations and work with some great people.  What follows is a short list of some of our favorite images from 2014.  We had to cut it off at some point, otherwise you'd never scroll all the way to the end of the list!

2014 marked our 10th year and we're looking forward to our next 10 years starting in 2015.  Next year we have some new adventures and ambitious plans and we are excited to see how it will all shake out!  A huge thanks to all our wedding, family and senior clients from 2014 and previous years!  We hope you all have a happy new year!!

Lindsay & Derek - Wedding | Nicollet Island Pavilion, Minneapolis, MN

What an amazing wedding to close out our 2014 wedding season!  We also had the opportunity to photograph Lindsay's brother and sisters weddings, and we are very humbled and grateful to have been chosen yet again for Lindsay and Derek's wedding.  Their wedding was held at Nicollet Island Pavilion which was a fantastic venue for the planned outdoor wedding.  Kelly met the girls at the Nicollet Island Inn across the street for getting ready shots and and then they had their first look on the bridge.  Click "see more" to see all the images!

Melanie & Chris - Wedding | Siren, WI

This wedding was particularly special to us as Chris is Kelly's brother.  It was very exciting to have the role of capturing Chris and Melanie's wedding day.  The ceremony and everything that followed was held on family property and was among the largest weddings we've attended.  They are both very down to earth people and the rustic theme fit them perfectly.  The wedding party was huge, but great to work with and I think the dance was still going at 3 am, but I didn't quite make it that far.  A fantastic day for a great couple!

Cynthia & Patrick - Wedding | Larsmont Cottages, Two Harbors, MN

We have had the privilege of being a part of weddings of all sizes.  Cynthia and Patrick's wedding was an intimate gathering of friends and family for their ceremony on the shore of Lake Superior at Larsmont Cottages.  As you can tell, it was a perfect day and I had a great time with them and their wedding party and guests.

Kristin & Alex - Wedding | Caribou Highlands Resort, Lutsen, MN

Kristin and Alex traveled home from Italy to have their wedding ceremony with family and friends at Caribou Highlands Resort on Lutsen Mountain.  We planned to make time to run up to Cascade River State Park which is about 15 minutes away, usually, but it took us a little longer because of some unexpected road construction.  A quick, semi-legal parking job and we were on the shore and back by the falls for some pictures, and then on the road back to the resort and the ceremony.  Kristin was hoping for some night star and moon shots, but we had overcast skies, so we improvised a little.

Kayla & Mike - Engagement | Minnehaha Falls, Minneapolis, MN

It was a great day for Kayla and Mike's engagement session at Minnehaha Falls park!  We covered nearly the entire park and tried some new things along the way!  Looking forward to their wedding next June!

Paula & John - Wedding | Bluefin Bay Resort

I have to say that this opening shot is one of my recent favorites.  I spent the day with Paula and John up at Bluefin Bay Resort and they had scheduled quite a bit of time for pictures.  We took advantage of that by starting out at Temperance River State Park and then heading back over to Bluefin and the lake shore.  The ceremony was held on the patio overlooking the lake, and then we walked to the restaurant for the reception.

Michelle & Dan - Wedding | Grand Superior Lodge

We first met Michelle and Dan at the wedding show at Grand Superior Lodge, where they planned to have their wedding.  There was no question about it, it was raining on Michelle and Dan's wedding day.  It slowed down long enough to get outside for some pictures and it actually stopped long enough for their planned outdoor wedding ceremony.  Michelle and Dan and the whole wedding party were great to work with and insisted on going outside even under less than ideal circumstances.  We came away with some great images and captured some great memories of their day.  Click the "See More" link to see the rest of the images in this set.

Kate & Brian - Wedding | Greysolon Ballroom, Duluth, MN

Kate and Brian's wedding ceremony and reception were both held in the Moorish Room at the Greysolon Ballroom.  We met Kate and Brian next door at the Sheraton and then headed across the street to the lakeshore for some pictures.  There was a threat of rain, but we got lucky and it passed south of us.  Had a great time with them, and got some great pictures!  Click "see more" to see the rest!

Alanna & Tim - Wedding | Spirit Mountain, Duluth, MN

Alanna and Tim's wedding ceremony was held at the beautiful St. Francis church in Superior, Wi.  Alanna had been a bridesmaid in a wedding we photographed and we were honored that they chose us to capture their wedding day!  After the ceremony, we went to Billings Park for some pictures and then to Spirit Mountain for their reception and dinner.  Here's a link to their engagement session last year.

Tammie & Jason - Wedding | Duluth, MN

Tammie and Jason's outdoor wedding was held at the Rose Garden on the shore of Lake Superior in Duluth.  We had a lot of time for pictures, so we wandered around Canal Park a bit and the Rose Garden before the ceremony.  After the ceremony, we headed over to Clyde Iron Works for the reception.  The cake and cupcakes were from How Sweet It Is Cakes.

Phoua & Tou Yia - Wedding | Greysolon Ballroom, Duluth, MN

Phoua and Tou Yia's wedding was memorable for love and affection shown them by their friends and family.  It was amazing to watch the enthusiasm and happiness of all in attendance.  The wedding ceremony and reception was held in the Greysolon Ballroom in Duluth.  The decorations and planning were coordinated by Northland Special Events, and they went all out.  Check out a few more images after the jump!
