Here's our last wedding of the season! We're arbitrarily drawing the line on this one, even though the 2011 season starts in January for us.
Andrea and Richard headed south from Canada to enjoy our warmer climes for their wedding celebration. It was a beautiful December day at 29 degrees, you couldn't ask for better weather. Their outdoor wedding was held at Bluefin Bay Resort in Tofte, MN and as always, it was top notch. If you're considering a destination wedding on the north shore, call them up and ask for Kim Nelson, she'll take care of you.
Andrea and Richard wanted a lot of outdoor pictures and we were happy to oblige. Given the relatively mild temperature we were able to stay out quite a while and still retain basic motor skills. Really though, Andrea set the pace, being in a wedding gown, and she put those of us in winter jackets to shame.
All in all, it was a wonderful day, and we were very happy to be a part of it. Pictures below:

Amy & Mike - Wedding | Lutsen Resort, MN
We love winter weddings and when combined with the classic charm of the Lutsen Resort, it's an amazing combination. Feeling the warmth of the fireplace in the lodge while looking out the window at the snow and icy cold waters of Lake Superior is definitely an experience.
I can honestly say that I've never been in a room with more meteorologists in my life. Amy and Mike are both meteorologists with the National Weather Service, and it seems many of their guests were also in that profession. Given that, it was rather surprising to me that the conversations didn't revolve entirely around the weather, which is certainly a departure from the normal social conversations in the state of Minnesota.
Amy and Mike's wedding day was beautiful in every way. The wedding ceremony was held at Zoar Lutheran church in Tofte, MN. It was about 17 degrees outside, but we still spent some time outside and got some great pictures. Scroll down to see a few teasers from their day.
