We hit two farms for Kaiya and Ben's engagement session, risking severe blood loss from mosquitoes, but we got some great shots!  Looking forward to their wedding this summer!

Katelyn & Lukas - Wedding | Madeline Island, WI

This wedding adventure took place on Madeline Island near Bayfield, WI.  The house Katelyn and Lukas rented for the occasion was situated on the shore of Lake Superior.  The day started for us with a ferry ride over to the island and then we made our way to the house.  The wedding itself was an intimate affair with about 40 friends and family in attendance.  By early afternoon the haze burned off and the sun came out, warming up enough to have the dance outdoors as planned.  The evening wrapped up with everyone setting off sky lanterns, an amazing sight!

Kacy & Matt - Wedding | Grand Superior Lodge

It was a foggy day for Kacy and Matt's wedding at Grand Superior Lodge, but we had enough of a break from the rain to get outside for pictures and the beautiful outdoor ceremony went on as planned.  We made it to Gooseberry Falls for a few pictures, the water was rushing that day.  After the ceremony it was time for dinner and dancing.  Here's a few pictures from their wedding day!

Katie & Jurgen - Wedding | Minnesota Landscape Arboretum

This wedding was kind of like repeat business, we photographer Katie's brother's wedding last fall.  It was great to see some familiar faces and meet new people!  Katie and Jurgen's wedding was held at the beautiful Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.  You can see their engagement session here.  It was suppose to be an outdoor wedding but a fast moving rain storm moved things indoors.  We were still able to get outside for a few pictures.  Following the ceremony the sun came out and we made our way to the Oak Ridge Hotel and Conference Center for the reception and dance.  Here's a few images from their wedding day!

Julie & Mike - Wedding | Grand Superior Lodge, Two Harbors, MN

The weather was perfect for Julie and Mike's wedding day at Grand Superior Lodge on the north shore of Lake Superior.  You may recall their engagement session last fall in Minneapolis.  Being the perfect day it was, there was a pretty good crowd at Gooseberry Falls, but due to impeccable timing we managed to get some great shots with no stray people in the background.  After the ceremony back at the lodge there was a bit of downtime to relax and get a few shots and then it was time for dinner and dancing.  The dance floor was full and it was quite a party.  Here are a few shots from the day:
