Awesome location at an old sandstone quarry along the Kettle River, fantastic, sunny day, and a couple that was actually more willing than the photographer to risk life and limb. :-) Thanks guys! Looking forward to your wedding in 2010!
The forecast for Jill and Greg's wedding day was rain, with a chance for more rain, so we planned accordingly to stay indoors. Turns out, it wasn't such a bad day after all. They are two wonderful people, and we had a great time working with them, and generally following them around all day. We also had the opportunity to work with Evan Uribe of [lumen] photography. Evan came out and offered a third perspective through his lens, and helped us haul gear too. I'm swimming in image files now, but when I get a chance, I'll post some of his stuff as well.
Here are some pics from the day, with a lot more to come!
What stuck out in my mind is how colorful Mariette and Collins wedding was. Take a look at the cake picture below for an idea. We had a lot of fun, there were 4 flower girls and 2 junior bridesmaids, and you couldn't contain their excitement. What made the day even more special was that it was also Mariette's parents 39th wedding anniversary. Thanks Mariette and Collin!
Here's a few from the day. More to see in their gallery!
For Chris and Michele's engagement session, we met at Como Park and Conservatory in St. Paul. It was a beautiful spring day and the place was busy. The conservatory was especially crowded, but where else are you going to find a lush green backdrop this time of year? Here's a few from the from the session. Thanks Michele and Chris, we're looking forward to your wedding in July!
We met Don and Terri of Burkhaven Resort at a wedding fair we attended. They were in need of some interior photography for their new brochure and asked if we could come out sometime. Burkhaven's 24 acres contains trees, ponds and 2.5 miles of trails, and the facilities and staff are exceptional. They have a wonderful location for outdoor weddings, but they also have a beautiful building for indoor ceremonies and receptions, as seen in the following pictures. Lots of natural light and an airy feel.
If you are looking for a place to host a wedding, meeting, or family reunion, give them a call!
