Brenda & Tim - Wedding | Lutsen Resort, MN

We headed up to Lutsen Resort this past weekend for Brenda and Tim's wedding. As we got further along the shore, the weather started to clear, but the fog was still over the lake. As a result when we arrived, we had a strangely beautiful combination of heavy fog and sunshine. The best man summed it up by saying it was like "being in a dream sequence".

The uncertainty factor is what scares a lot of photographers away from doing weddings. You can't reschedule, or even postpone a shoot until conditions are ideal. You have to show up and deal with whatever you're given and still create something that meets your clients expectations. Some days, though, you're given something unique and amazing to work with and that's what we had this day.

By the time the ceremony started it was a completely clear, beautiful day. Perfect for the outside ceremony on the shore of Lake Superior. Live music at the reception was provided by Unnamed Stream. Highly recommended if you're looking for some live music at your event.

Erin & Joel - Wedding | Cambridge, MN

Every now and then we get to be a part of a wedding of people we've known for a while. We've known Erin for many years, and we were thrilled and honored when she asked us to photograph her wedding day. Erin and Joel's wedding was held at the Armed Forces Center in Cambridge, MN. The weather was absolutely perfect as you can see, and Erin looked beautiful in her vintage dress and Joel looked great in uniform. Thanks Erin and Joel for letting us be a part of your big day!
