Laura & Adam - Wedding | Duluth, MN

After a week of rain, Laura and Adam's wedding day turned out sunny and beautiful. Their wedding ceremony and reception took place at the Greysolon Ballroom. We were able to hit Brighton Beach and Enger Park for pictures between the ceremony and reception. Laura and Adam are a fun couple, and we had a great time working with them and being a part of their wedding day. We got to know them a bit during their engagement session (which you can see here), so we knew it would be a great day.

Stefanie & Rob - Engagement | Gooseberry Falls

There are two good things about shooting a session in the rain at Gooseberry Falls. The first is there are no other people around cluttering up your picture (which is unheard of). Secondly, shooting in unusual situations means you're not going to end up with the usual pictures. As I was driving up to Gooseberry State Park and the rain started coming down, I kept expecting a phone call from Stefanie to cancel and reschedule. It never came. They were already down by the falls waiting for me in the rain. All the sane people were heading out, but there we were. I always tell clients that I'll shoot in anything they're willing to stand out in, and, this time, I had to make good. :-) Just had to post a few from this amazing session. My favorite is the last one:

Beth & Jarrod - Wedding | Duluth, MN

When you have a wedding party this big, you know it's going to be an interesting day, but I didn't expect how crazy/fun it turned out to be! There was tons of kids, some body surfing, and even a "Thriller" dance off. The wedding was at Saint Benedict's in Duluth, and the reception was at the Greysolon Ballroom. This was our third time at Greysolon this year, and it always impresses. We squeezed in a run down to Canal Park for some pictures, although the bus driver (yes, there was a coach bus) had to take a scenic drive while we were down there as there was no parking available. Beautiful day, fun times, great couple.
